EtriLabs Launches the Africa NGO Resilience Platform (ANRP) to Support NGOs Impacted by USAID Funding Cuts

Cotonou, February 17, 2025 – In response to the USAID funding cuts affecting social projects carried out by many African NGOs, EtriLabs announces the launch of the African NGO Resilience Platform (ANRP), a collaborative initiative designed to help African NGOs affected by this crisis overcome the challenges they face.

The ANRP platform is an urgent and proactive response to the challenges posed by the loss of funding from USAID and other U.S. agencies. It aims to connect African NGOs to new funding opportunities, provide resources and knowledge to diversify their funding sources, and encourage increased collaboration between organizations to build resilience against external shocks.

Concrete Support for Impacted NGOs

NGOs registered on the Resilience Platform will benefit from several advantages:

“The resilience of African NGOs is not just a priority; it is an urgency and a collective responsibility. Every project saved, every partnership formed, is a victory for human development,” adds Senam Beheton, Director of EtriLabs.

Why is the ANRP Essential Today?

USAID funding cuts have created a shockwave throughout the African nonprofit sector. Some organizations have already had to scale back their activities or even lay off key staff. This directly affects initiatives focused on:

By connecting these NGOs to alternative financial resources and fostering innovative partnerships, the ANRP provides a pragmatic solution to ensure the continuity of the most affected projects.

A Call to Action for NGOs and Partners

EtriLabs invites all impacted African NGOs to join the ANRP Platform by completing the dedicated form here: https://bit.ly/Africa_NGO_Resilience_Platform. This form will allow them to share their specific challenges and integrate into an active network of organizations, donors, and partners.

Furthermore, EtriLabs is calling on donors, funders, policymakers, and ecosystem partners who wish to contribute to this initiative. Together, we can support African NGOs and ensure the continuity of their social impact actions, essential for local communities.

“International solidarity should not be limited by the borders of a crisis. It must evolve to address current challenges. The ANRP represents a concrete opportunity for African NGOs, and we invite everyone to engage. Inaction is not an option. The future of millions of beneficiaries depends on our collective ability to find innovative and bold solutions,” says Senam Beheton.
